Sabbatical Replacement: Temporary Assistant Professor
The Department of Communication Studies at the University of Minnesota invites applications for a temporary, full-time faculty position at the rank of assistant professor for the 2008-09 academic year, beginning August 25, 2008 and ending May 24, 2009. This is a sabbatical replacement position and is not renewable past the 2008-09 academic year.
Required qualifications: Ph.D. in Communication or closely related field and demonstrated teaching experience in a college or university.
Duties/Responsibilities: We seek a communication scholar using social scientific methodology interested in participating in the intellectual life of the department. The successful candidate should be able to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in Interpersonal Communication and related areas, such as Communication Theory, Organizational Communication, Intercultural Communication Theory & Practice, Communication in Marriage & Family, Persuasion and Compliance Gaining, and Small Group Communication.
